The Logistics Manager will manage the daily activities of the Materials & Logistics Department ensuring high quality communication with all internal and external parties. Ensuring a flexible, high quality and timely service to the Projects and other internal clients is critical, particularly as business priorities can change at short notice.
All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices. All personnel are expected to provide leadership in code of ethics and compliance with FCPA and bribery and corruption acts.

Position Overview
Key Responsibilities & Activities
Ensure compliance with all Supply Chain policies, process, and procedures
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of commercial freight options
- Have a clear knowledge and understanding of local export/import, customs and excise regulations, legislation, and practices.
- Ensure Supply Chain capitalizes from lessons learned and is performed in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, promoting safety and integrity consistently
- Develop the local Materials and Logistics team through clearly understood roles, responsibilities and performance objectives, regular feedback and continuing professional training
- Proactively contribute to the logistics and mobilization strategies and goals and coordinate the reporting on the achievement of these.
- Determine the appropriate strategy and plan (with others as appropriate) to ensure the most efficient, economical, and safe transportation of equipment and materials to site, within set times.
- Ensure the scope of work of third-party vendors is determined and manage third parties during equipment mobilization
- Review mobilization Scope of Work and associated procedures/task plans/drawings/manifests to identify logistics/materials requirements and maximize use of existing company assets.
- Manage all goods movements in shipping/receiving
- Ensure effective communications are in place to enable all parties are aware of the timescales, scope, responsibilities, requirements, plans and other pertinent information.
- Ensure relevant documentation is made available to stakeholders both on and offshore
- Make operational recommendations to existing procedures where cost / time benefits can be realized through use of alternative proven method and for the use of suitable facilities.
- Use SAP to provide manifesting, shipping movements/tracking, goods receipts, freight invoicing and asset transfers
- Manage team in day-to-day activities
- Ensure team is compliant in recording shipping files (import/export and local shipments)
- Communicate with internal clients with upcoming work scopes and attend kick off meetings
- Ensuring freight costs are captured and paid in a timely manner (DHL,UPS,Fedex,Lynden,and any other local transport companies)
Operate within the Business Code of Conduct
- Operate according to Subsea 7's Management Principles
- Support standards and procedures for the Supply Chain Management Function

- Relevant previous industry experience at an appropriate level working in a Senior materials co-ordination role
- Experience in the use of SAP MM
