What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker position at Sugar Bliss?
Competent baker in a high volume from-scratch kitchen. Wide understanding of American and French pastry/baked good recipes. Able to multitask, move with purpose at all times, and team-oriented attitude.
Ability to follow from-scratch recipes and procedures, make all products consistently to company standards
Experience in production of high volume baked goods (cupcakes, cake pops, French macarons, brownies, cookies, etc. ) In quantities of 2-6 dozen per batch. Multiple half sheet trays at a time. 22qt batters. Ability to lift and carry 25-65lbs.
· Ensure high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining Sugar Bliss standards of customer service and quality of work/quality control
· General understanding of gluten free and vegan baked goods. Experience making is a plus.
· Ability to efficiently complete opening procedures every morning within the 90min allotted timeframe. Move and communicate smoothly with other baker.
· Complete daily production schedule and assist with custom/special orders within daily time-frames.
· Assist in managing inventory (dairy, dry goods, boxes, and other supplies)
· Responsible for washing and putting away all equipment/appliances used
· Adherence to sanitation and cross contamination requirements/prevention and continuous cleanliness of kitchen stations, equipment, break area, and storage rooms.
· Follows Sugar Bliss codes of conduct; especially breaks, texting, and dress code.
