Job Summary: Sugar Shane's Cookie Company is seeking a full-time Bakery Manager to join our team. As the Bakery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining a positive work environment, and driving productivity and efficiency among the staff. Your role will be crucial in upholding the Sugar Shane's Standard and continuously improving our bakery's processes and offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Shift Management: Lead and supervise the team during AM and PM shifts, including opening and closing the store.
Task Management: Oversee daily tasks and ensure the staff is hitting their targets and maintaining quality standards.
Performance Tracking: Consistently achieve and encourage the team to achieve 5 productivity points per shift to be eligible for promotion.
Cross-functional Ideas: Collaborate with other managers through chat/documentation to propose ideas that increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve customer service.
Training and Development: Develop and maintain the skill sets of baking, decorating, oven usage, and packaging for our award-winning products.
Communication and Leadership: Provide guidance and positive feedback to assistant managers, team members, and staff to improve performance and customer service.
Safety and Hygiene: Ensure a safe and clean work environment by implementing daily cleaning, monthly maintenance, and seasonal needs.
Documentation: Assist upper management in tracking and improving processes, goals, and documentation.
Customer Service: Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the Sugar Shane's Standard.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in food preparation and baking, preferably in a restaurant or bakery setting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire the team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with other managers and staff.
- Innovative and creative problem-solving abilities to develop new processes and ideas.
- Prior experience in a managerial role is preferred.
- Full availability, including weekends, is mandatory.
