Job Posting for Communications + Digital Media Coordinator at Summit Church
Position Summary: As the Communications and Digital media coordinator at Summit you will need to have a global perspective of what’s happening at all Summit campuses and an orientation towards serving our staff to help effectively communicate vision and details with our community (both inside and outside of Summit). You will be responsible for managing communications projects and digital media.
Qualifications:
Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills. You are the “eyes” for all things print and digital at Summit
Gifted in administration and organization
Ability to learn Summit’s brand guidelines and help manage brand presence and consistency.
Excellent communicator
Key Responsibilities:
Communications Project Manager
Act as a liaison between Summit staff and Contrast Design Studio. Managing the timelines and overall process for all communication requests.
Processes incoming communication requests to estimate time/resources needed to complete projects. Responsible for providing updates to Summit staff.
Develop and maintain an up to date communications project list at all times with knowledge of status, priority and next steps via a project management system and/or spreadsheet.
Ensure that all communication projects are approved by ministry leaders and received on time.
As needed, help with all Church printing needs for both in-house and outside print projects (i.e. mostly fresh sheets, invite cards, etc.)
Bring unity and alignment between Sunday opportunities/communications, mid-week videos, social media, weekly newsletters for each campus.
Partner with Exec Pastor in all-church communication initiatives.
Digital Media Manager
Ensure that Summit’s social media platforms are up to date, communicate vision, opportunity for connection, and provide a full perspective of Summit’s impact in our community and city. This job is not simply to maintain social media accounts but to help Summit continue to grow and develop in this area
Strategize ways to keep our social media accounts up to date and impactful by creating engaging written and visual content for social media platforms
Develop and implement social media strategies, campaigns, and plans to build our brand/church awareness
Post no less than 3x per week on Instagram (and Facebook if it applies)
Interact and respond with those in our church who comment on Summit’s social media accounts.
Monitor Social Media analytics and provide a quarterly update or overview to Summit’s Executive Pastor.
Manage Summit’s website, partnering with ministries to ensure that all information is up to date and easily accessible
Send out Monthly email newsletters communicating opportunities for connection, growth and care in our community.
Other Responsibilities
Attend Summit’s weekly staff meetings every Tuesday
No less than 12 hours per week must be in the office at Summit. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the priority.
Weekly meetings with Summit’s Executive Pastor to go over all-church projects and overall brand consistency
Weekly meeting with Director of Operations to ensure project timelines are being met and to troubleshoot ministry concerns
