Job Summary
Operates electric pallet jack and forklift to load, unload and move product and pallets within the Distribution Center.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Safely performs routine warehouse functions utilizing established processes, procedures and tools while meeting performance expectations for productivity, quality, safety and attendance.
Operates electric pallet jack and forklift to push, pull, stack, tier or move product or materials within the DC.
Positions material handling equipment over/under/around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, product or materials to transport to designated area.
Stacks product in a specified manner on pallets and checks for damaged, mislabeled or foreign products
Unloads and stacks pallets, boxes or materials from trailers, containers, racks and shelves using material handling equipment.
Tracks all tasks and assignments via scanner.
Complies with Summer Infant policies, guidelines and procedures as well as state and federal regulation and OSHA requirements.
Performs necessary housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
Follows verbal or written work instructions.
Self-audits work to ensure it is completed accurately.
Assist with training of new employees on department processes and procedures and any other DC duties as requested.
Willingness and ability to work any assigned shift or work area is required of all DC associates as our environment is dynamic with shifting workloads and customer demand.
Identifies and communicates improvement opportunities and concerns to the department supervisor or management team.
Serves as back up to employees in same job classification.
Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid license to operate powered material handling equipment.
1 year successful employment as an equipment operator within a Distribution Center or related experience.
Basic English language skills (reading, written and verbal).
Basic math skills.
Ability to be trained in internal systems, programs, applications, and usage of warehouse management system.

Must be able to tolerate and environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise and work around moving equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Riverside, CA 92507: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)
