Catering Coordinator

Statement of Purpose: As a Catering Coordinator you will plan and coordinate catering functions for residents, the local community and departments. To provide service support in the dining venues as needed.

Major Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Meets weekly with the Special Function Team to evaluate Function Sheets and determine schedule and tasks for following week. Function Sheets include volume and type of catering events, activity functions, availability of space, and pricing, current staffing, and meal volume in dining rooms.
• Participates and assists in campus/departmental training and staff development.
• Meets with the Residents to coordinate each aspect of their catering needs.
• Conducts a pre-meal service with the Dining Room staff that will be working the assigned events.
• Responsible for setup and breakdown of catering events.
• Supervises and provides service at catering events.
• Assist the Dining Room staff as needed.
• Demonstrate the Sun Health Vibrant Living culture and provides all customers/audience with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating Sun Health behaviors (the 6 Cs) each and every day

Qualifications:

• Must be Serv-Safe certified.
• Catering, serving, and light cooking experience.
• Experience in developing and maintaining good relationships with seniors.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain CPR certification.
• Possess current or has the ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
