Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist should possess a good understanding of Human Resources processes including, but not limited to, recruitment and hiring, personnel administrative management, employment/labor law, conflict resolution, compensation practices, employee benefits, payroll, corporate morale, excellent communication, performance evaluations, etc.
Position Qualifications
The specific minimum competencies needed to perform the essential duties of the job include knowledge, skills, abilities, level of education, and experience necessary for successful performance. These competencies are generally demonstrated through specific service, education, or training.
Level of Experience:
Minimum of 3 years as a Human Resources Generalist
Bilingual- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and oral)
Experience in a fast paced warehouse or manufacturing setting required.
Level of Education:
Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Business, Organization Management or similar.
Travel: Amount of travel availability required for position.
Maximum: 1-2 single overnight regional trips per year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The core tasks, duties, and responsibilities that must be performed on the job.
- Onboarding and offboarding activities including I9 verification/E-Verify, Background Checks, Drug screens, badge creation, cross functional communication, management of files and HR systems, sales credentialling, VOEs, Internal communication, distribution list and Org Chart updates, as well as auditing HR vendor related invoicing.
- New hire orientations and completion/organization of employee files and required documents.
- Able to answer day to day employee questions regarding benefits, payroll, policy, and other HR related matters.
- Assist with Benefits Open Enrollment
- Manage the hiring of temporary employees at the site level
- Work closely with Corporate HR Team to coordinate employee events/lunches and maintain internal communication.
