E/D Safety Supervisor

Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a E/D Safety Supervisor. The E/D Safety Supervisor is responsible for coordinating safety and health activities of individual projects or worksites. The Safety Supervisor reports to the Safety Manager.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Safety Manager and/or Supervisor with the following:
Daily inspection of work site to ensure safety procedures are enforced, that all employees have been trained in the safety aspects of their jobs, and that all equipment is maintained is safe and in working condition.
Conduct and document weekly audits at the job site.
Ensure all safety violations and/or hazards are corrected and brought to the attention of the appropriate person.
Conduct orientation of employees on the job site to ensure compliance with all Empire Scaffold and Client’s rules and regulations.
Communicate with Customers/Client Safety Representatives and address their concerns/issues.
Hold Safety Meetings with employees at the site.
Ensure all accident/incidents are reported.
Ensure all accident/incidents are investigated and assist with the investigation.
Perform or seek medical attention to any person requiring assistance.
Manage injuries.
Report directly to the Site Safety Manager, Regional Safety Manager and Safety Director.
Have thorough knowledge of OSHA; both federal and state.
Promote overall safety program through acts, gestures, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
CPR/First Aid
Some construction and safety experience required.
Scaffold experience a plus
The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
