Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team for a travel assignment. As a key member of our cardiovascular services department, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with various cardiac conditions. This position requires a strong knowledge of invasive cardiovascular procedures, exceptional technical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
Perform Invasive Cardiovascular Procedures: Conduct a variety of invasive procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and intravascular imaging studies, under the supervision of a cardiologist or cardiovascular surgeon.
Pre-procedural Preparation: Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and properly set up before each procedure. Verify patient identification, obtain informed consent, and prepare the patient for the intervention.
Operate Specialized Equipment: Expertly operate sophisticated medical equipment such as fluoroscopy machines, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) devices, pressure monitoring systems, and hemodynamic monitoring systems during procedures.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology, nursing, or a related field. Certification from an accredited cardiovascular invasive specialist program is required.
Licensure: Valid licensure as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or eligibility for licensure is essential.
Experience: Minimum of two years of experience working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory or interventional cardiology setting is preferred.
