ABOUT THIS POSITION

The goal of our dynamic marketing team is to help educate and inspire people about their solar options! As a Marketing Specialist, you will lend a hand to members of the marketing team, and handle administrative tasks that keep our customers engaged and our marketing programs running smoothly. This person in this role is proactive, solution-oriented, and ready to see tasks through to completion. You'll be engaging with community members through various channels, supporting the sales team, and contributing to our social media and content strategies. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, well-organized, and possess excellent communication skills. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Engage with community members through in-person events, inside sales calls, and social media. Some events take place weekends/evenings; 1-2 times a month expected. 
  • Assist with qualifying leads via phone/email to discuss solar options and determine the viability for solar
  • Explain the value of solar, and speak eloquently and passionately about our mission
  • Ability to accurately input data into CRM
  • Supports marketing team workflow, including social media calendar, basic webpage and email creation.
  • Support marketing campaign and content ideation.
  • Support outside sales team with event sign up, as well as occasionally attending in-person events.
  • Create and curate content for social media, and monitor/report on performance, trends, and community conversations.
  • Assisting with the implementation and coordination of marketing campaigns and strategies
  • Contributing to social media and content calendars by managing the production of shareable and interesting content, such as videos, infographics, social media posts, and blog articles
  • Ensuring that regular web content updates are performed and checking content for consistency and accuracy
  • Assist in planning, coordination and execution of marketing events for business prospects, community events and marketing driven partnerships

Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Eager to learn and not afraid to make mistakes along the way.
  • Strong organizational/project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable engaging with people across the organization and in our communities in person, by phone, emails, and video conferencing.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (Twitter/X, Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit, etc.).
  • Proficiency with the following a plus:
    • Google Suite
    • Adobe Creative Suite
    • Customer Databases 
    • Wordpress
    • Email Marketing Tools
    • Digital Marketing
    • Customer Support
  • Willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic business environment and shift gears as needed.

  • For the employee and their family, fully paid medical premiums as well as a significant contribution toward medical deductible expenses,
