We are currently recruiting a high performing risk management professional for a permanent full-time role.
WHAT YOU WILL DOIn collaboration with the Manager, you will conduct data collection and site inspections, which will provide the information needed to support the completion of risk management reports and consulting for clients. This involves data consisting primarily of building, machinery and equipment component details, potential risks related to fire, crime and liability or accidents and photographs. The data is used to generate reports that aim to help clients reduce the potential for losses that may be caused through injury, criminal activity or physical hazards by recommending a course of action to reduce the frequency or severity of losses. This is a home-based position based in either Alberta, British Columbia, or Saskatchewan and requires 30-40% travel in Western Canada and with potential for national travel.

You are adaptive with prioritization and time management skills and can easily manage multiple projects and have strong attention to detail. You are able and willing to travel regionally and occasionally nationally, have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
You have the following credentials: - Full proficiency in reading, writing, and oral interactions in English. Proficiency in additional language(s) is an asset; - Post-secondary education is preferred; - Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office and databases; - Understanding of common commercial building structures; - Knowledge of NFPA standards and relevant fire and building codes is an asset; - Specialized skills in trades or fire protection and prevention fields are considered assets; - Canadian Certified Playground Inspector (CCPI) designation is an asset; and - A combination of education, knowledge and experience will be considered.
