Job Description JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the VP of Content Strategy and Acquisitions, the Manager is responsible for assisting in creating and distributing linear schedules and participating in the execution of long- and short-term scheduling strategies, including collaboration in the development of stunts, promotions and other scheduling ideas. Accurately maintain schedule documents and calendars, including the input of all programming information into scheduling systems, tracking changes, and distributing scheduling information throughout the company. Continually update competitive and opportunistic programming information into various documents. Serve as liaison to other departments for disseminating information and answering questions. Assist department in various special projects as needed. This role works across linear services as needed. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in scheduling linear networks with a focus on BBCA. Draft in Excel and build schedules in scheduling systems. Accurately maintain weekly program schedules and calendars, including the input of all movie titles and stunt names into the programming grids, and the distribution of the schedule throughout the company. Monitor and ensure listings are accurate. Assist in creating and disseminating schedule change memos and grids across the network to reflect revisions to the schedule. Able to understand scheduling decisions impact to Sales, Marketing, Media Planning, Rights Management and Operations. Liaison with Operations on all media metadata and delivery, including movie lengths, versions, parental guideline ratings and closed captioning of titles and reflects information in schedules/film lists. Update Director, Managers, and Coordinator when specific versions are requested for air. Track relevant competitive programming information by monitoring trade publications, theatrical release schedules, network events, etc. and document within various competitive documents. Maintain ratings documents to track performance. Assist department in the brainstorming and development of stunts, promotions, and other scheduling ideas. Work with IT on issues across various scheduling systems and enhancements to systems. Assist department in various special projects as needed. QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred) Bachelor's Degree with 4 - 6 years of experience in network scheduling Familiarity with network scheduling systems What’s On, Wide Orbit Network, or similar Proficient in all office suite products including Word, PowerPoint, and especially Excel. Excellent technical/computer skills to ensure accuracy of information. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Strong working knowledge of television business/industry with a passion for television. Ability to translate research data into effective scheduling strategies. Works as part of a team; works well with others. Always seeks new, more efficient methods to improve systems and personal performance. Effective communicator as this position operates under specific timelines and interacts with other departments within the company. Quick to respond to needs/requests. The base compensation range for this position is $70- $75k commensurate with experience.
