Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, commissioning, and fault finding of commercial solar installations. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on commercial solar PV systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct commissioning activities for new solar installations, including system testing and verification.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with solar PV systems, including electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Repair and replace faulty components in solar installations.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and system performance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and team members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical, renewable energy, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in solar PV system maintenance, commissioning, and fault finding.
  • Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment for solar PV systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems related to solar PV installations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NABCEP, OSHA) are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.54 - $26.48 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
