Job Overview
Sunland Construction is looking for Field HSE Coordinator for pipeline projects in the Texas and Louisiana areas. The Field HSE Coordinator is a temporary position since it is a project-based position, but the employee can continue working if other projects are available. Depending on the job, these projects may range from 1 to 24 months.
Summary
Works under the direction of the Division Safety Coordinator and is responsible to ensure governmental regulatory compliance in all areas related to safety, and providing support to construction activities by conducting safety meetings, worksite and equipment inspections, accident investigations, employee injury assessment with follow-up, and coordination of employee training programs. Also, acts as the liaison with community emergency response agencies.

-The employee will receive a company computer, laptop, scanner, printer, and company credit card for job expenses.

-Salary $1,800 to $ 2,300 a week
Essential Job Functions
Assist supervisors in preparing and maintaining safe work plans and Authorization to Work (ATW) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) permits.
Investigate property damage accidents, prepare required reports, and communicate information to appropriate locations.
Investigate employee injury accidents, escort injured to doctor, prepare written reports, communicate information to appropriate locations, and provide follow-up to ensure a successful conclusion to the incident.
Conduct routine documented inspections of all worksites and equipment to ensure compliance with company safety policies, and provide on-site hazards assessment with coordinated corrective action if necessary.
Plan and present weekly safety meetings to workforce covering subject outline to include: The Hazard Communication Act (Employee Right To Know), Hazardous Material Training, Personal Protective Equipment, Safety Awareness, Last Minute Risk Assessment, Observation Cards, and accident review information.
Assist Division Safety Coordinator in maintaining employee training logs and coordinate training needs relative to New Employee Orientation, First Aid/CPR, Defensive Driving, Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), Confined Space, Drug & Alcohol Testing, and all other safety-related training including coordination of Annual Safety Training sessions.
Attend meetings and maintain working relationships with Emergency Response groups within the job site area to ensure an efficient response in case of emergency.
Required Qualification Knowledge/ Skill/Ability

-Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, especially in verbal communications with the workforce, management, or emergency response personnel.
-Ability to operate a number of different motor vehicles and visually observe the safe operation of heavy equipment.

-Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
-Ability to accurately prepare reports and maintain critical statistical data and have good computer skills.
-Ability to maintain company confidentiality.
-Ability to respond and assess varying types of work hazards and recommend corrective solutions.
-Ability to effectively teach safety-related subjects.
