As we continue to grow, we're looking for a friendly GM! Our General Managers are the heart of our operation, and you'll manage a team serving up fresh and seasonal food to our customers. Like our award winning pumpkin pancakes made with a secret, scratch-made batter, cooked to a golden, fluffy perfection, and topped with cinnamon butter and a tres leches drizzle!
Job Summary:
- Lead and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service and achieve business objectives.
- Manage daily operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and financial management.
- Uphold high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness throughout the cafe.
- Drive sales and profitability through strategic planning and business development.
- Foster a positive working environment with a strong emphasis on teamwork and staff development.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with grace and professionalism.
- Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Create a pleasant work environment where employees love coming to work
- You must have a strong dedication to making the guests and employees happy
- Need to have an understanding of food and labor control, ordering, and inventory
- Flexibility to work any shifts, including weekends
- Ability to move or lift up to 30 pounds
- Prior restaurant service management or assistant manager experience
- High level of stamina to work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Have a great attitude and desire to learn and excel at your job (training will be provided!)
- Team-oriented
- Be on time, be dependable!
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Past management experience with responsibilities of both FOH and BOH
- Full service breakfast experience a plus
- You may be READY TO MOVE UP to the next level, and are currently frustrated due to no chance for advancement in your current organization.
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar managerial role in the restaurant industry a huge plus.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and mentoring teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in inventory management, budgeting, and cost-control practices.
- A customer-first approach with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
- Knowledge of the food service industry's current standards and regulations.
- A passion for the cafe culture and a desire to build community connections.
- Flexibility to work various schedules, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with restaurant management software.
