Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse provides general medical care and treatment to patients under the direction of medical providers.


***$10,000.00 Sign-On Bonus Available***

(Bonus is Pro-Rated base on FTE)


Position Summary:

With a Quality, Customer First, and Compassionate approach, The Registered Nurse will:

  • Provide disease case management for patients.
  • Monitor patients according to guidelines set by CDC, CCGC, State and Sunrise Community Health Center.
  • Assist provider with treatments, exams, diagnostic procedures, and medications as required by an RN.
  • Maintain proper stock of IV supplies/medications.
  • Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
  • Assist in ordering and maintaining medications assigned.
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient records. Record patient medical information and vital signs.
  • Advise patients on health maintenance and preventative medicine.
  • Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patient’s conditions.
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans. Modify treatment plans where indicated.
  • Support Medical Assistants and medical staff with medical nursing triage questions.
  • Perform case management review as assigned. (DM, OB, Cardiovascular Disease, Asthma).
  • Work closely with Medical Director and site management to ensure efficient and consistent compliance with clinical and operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure patient needs are being appropriately addressed through scheduling and triage.
  • Assist team to maintain proper clinic flow.
  • Support team to meet patient needs.
  • Participate in collaborative measures as designated by CMO and COO.
  • Follow and initiate policy for standing orders.
  • Provide quarterly training to staff on current health care issues or medical procedures.
  • Team Based Care – Clinical Care Collaboration – Work in collaboration and continuous partnership with providers, clinical staff, and community resources in a team approach to promote access to appropriate care in the goal of enhancing patient health.
  • Pre-Visit Team Based Planning – Review daily schedule and chart by care team, ensure documented instructions are written on the schedule, typed into the EHR appointment note, or in the EHR as a flag or clinical list update.
  • Ensure patient visit is more efficient by identifying: 1. Records from transitions of care are available during the patient visit. 2. Results from labs or diagnostic are in the EHR. 3. Labs or other services that are not specified in the standing orders protocols.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Certified & Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado,
  • 2-4 years related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred

Current immunizations are required to work at Sunrise Community Health and may vary dependent upon the position. Influenza (Flu), COVID and Tdap Vaccines are required for ALL staff.
