Sunrise Leader
At Sunrise, our Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership support to the facilities operations. The Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on leader in the day to day operations directly supervising and assisting the maintenance team members as well as performing hands on maintenance tasks creating a safe, secure and inviting environment for residents, guests and team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Duties : General Maintenance Duties
- Responsible for completing all maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Performs general maintenance duties such as :
- Fixing wall coverings
- Fixing floor coverings
- Repairing furniture and fixtures
- Performing basic plumbing work
- Performing minor electrical repairs
- Repairing appliances
- Assists with painting and refurbishing projects
- Performs minor building and equipment repairs
- Conducts routine maintenance on all Sunrise vehicles as assigned
- Maintains all tools and repair parts
- Participates in all fire drills and in the community’s disaster preparedness program

- Hours at one time : 2 - 4
- Total hours / day : 6 8
In an 8 hour workday, team member may sit :
- Hours at one time : 0 - 2
- Total hours / day : 0 - 2
In an 8 hour workday, team member may drive :
90 minutes, one to two times a week
Team Member will support / assist : (Maximum lbs)
- Frequently : 50 lbs
- Occasionally : 150 lbs
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed throughout this job description are representative of knowledge, skills and abilities required.
- Maintains current license / certificate and / or specialized skills in at least one (or more) of the following building trades : electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, fire protection or mechanical.
- Three (3) years of maintenance experience preferred.
- Technical school education preferred.
- Demonstrates general understanding of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance.
- Possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.
- Ability to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled work hours.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
- Competent in organizational, time management skills.
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.
