Sunstates Security is seeking a dynamic Account Manager for an existing partnership with a growing innovative pharmaceutical company in the Silver Spring, MD area.
This unique position requires exceptional communication skills and strong critical thinking skills with the ability to balance the need of this client's cutting-edge profession. In addition to strong leadership skills, the candidate must be able to take direction for site specific projects and to delegate responsibilities to team members. Along with trust and integrity, the manager must understand and empathize with team members and be able to deliver constructive guidance in a group setting and one-on-one. Strong time management, trust, and integrity are a must for this position. The ideal candidate will be forward-thinking and responsible for investigations, and managing incidents; as well as developing and implementing training that follows the client's and Sunstates Security's guidelines.
This is a full-time position, offering an annual salary of $85,000 bonus/incentives - with a weekly pay schedule. Typical hours are Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM, but the candidate must have the flexibility to work weekends and other shifts as needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage and lead site projects
- Develop strategies/operational plans with Contract Security to assess, prevent, protect and mitigate all risks, threats, and vulnerabilities at assigned location(s) and area(s)
- Prepare Emergency Command Response (GSOC/SOC Process), contract security training & security-related investigations
- Develop and maintain metrics to track the success of the overall security program while also setting goals to course-correct anything outstanding and/or underperforming
- Have transparent communication with the client and Sunstates Security Management
- Develop, implement and evaluate standard operating procedures, protocols, and guidelines
Management/Leadership Functions:
- Responsible for the direction, coordination, and management of all site Security Officers
- Identify, recruit and process new talent while maintaining the required level of qualifications and skills; and to ensure hires receive appropriate training and licensure within the designated timeframe with the help from HR
- Train, develop, motivate and empower Security Officers to effectively and efficiently oversee all day-to-day operations of the site and promote the highest standards of efficiency, profitability, customer service and ethics.
- Manage employee performance for the site including appraising performance; administering reward and incentive programs; coaching and staff development initiatives; corrective actions with branch management guidance. Act as the primary contact for the site and contacting the local office when necessary.
- Maintain records with the officers assigned to the site to assure full participation with theSunstates Security LMS and training platform when applicable.
Operations Functions:
- Coordinate with Area Operations Manager, and Operations Manager to establish site goals &objectives and communicate these with the customer(s) as required.
- Manage administrative and operational functions to ensure the working schedule is accurate, the projected working schedule is posted, all vacation or time off requests are within the company
guidelines, the branch receives the scheduled weekly hours, and personnel topics are addressed with management guidance. - Manage account inspections and the inspection scorecard to assure compliance and meet/exceed our commitment.
- Produce Quality Assurance checks through eHub to assure positive results.
Cost Control & Budgetary Responsibilities:
- Ensure accounts remain consistently on budgetary and service-related targets, be able to respond effectively to goal deficiencies, and generate and implement action plans to remedy deficiencies and meet or exceed goals (overtime, turnover, uniform management).
Business Development & Customer Relations:
- Foster a superior level of customer relations/service in order to ensure client retention and satisfaction.
- Promote Sunstates reputation of professionalism and ethics, and to create and expose new and existing opportunities and markets.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 3 years of related management experience
- Must have prior security, law enforcement, or military experience
- CPR/ 1st Aid certification
- MD Guard Card
- Advanced level/knowledge of computers and technology
