Security Officer - Flex Schedule - $23/hr.

Sunstates Security is seeking an experienced physical security specialist to function as the security site manager at an account for a prestigious global software company in Boston, MA. This position is designed to maximize the service, response, and communication to ensure client requests are being handled in a timely and professional manner. The Security specialist must have excellent talent acquisition experience, excellent communication, and establish working relationships with key stakeholders. They must be able to make appropriate decisions under various safety and security leadership situations.

This Flex position does NOT have a set schedule. Once hired this position will be used to cover any callouts, PTO, or double coverage we might need until a more permanent position is available.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

• Serve as the primary point of contact for physical security and security operations.
• Identify and recruit new talent with the assistance of the regional office and the HR department.
• Work with key client stakeholders to find ways for the security team to add value.
• Train, develop, motivate and empower Security Officers to promote high standards in customer service and daily operations.
• Manage employee performance and identify any deficiencies and create action plans to maintain a high level of operational readiness for all security officers.

Operational Functions

• Responsible for the direction, coordination, and supervision of all site security officers.
• Train subordinates on procedural guidelines, company policies, and operational & site-specific to better serve client needs.
• Work with facility operations to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Assist with security staffing for on-site events.
• Scheduling, payroll, and maintaining officer quality assurance standards.
• Has a friendly, professional & courteous demeanor and provides quality customer service, and creates working relationships with key stakeholders.
• Is a good communicator (both verbal and written).
• Maintains and updates post orders, emergency response procedures, and applicable officer training content.
• The security site manager will have excellent talent acquisition skills.
• Act as emergency response team leader.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of related supervisory experience
• Must have prior security, law enforcement, or military experience
• Advanced level/knowledge of computers and technology
• Great customer service and communication skills

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
• Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
• Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
• Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated if prior military
