About The Role
- The efficient day to day management of clients’ affairs in accordance with terms of appointment and maintenance of all records in accordance with group procedures
- To manage a portfolio of clients autonomously, seeking advice and direction from colleagues as appropriate
- Provide a high level of service to new, existing and potential clients of Suntera, including liaising with customers and professional intermediaries regarding their managed entity and investments
- Development of client and intermediary relationships to ensure first class service is given
- Attendance at meetings with clients/intermediaries and/or their advisers either in Guernsey or overseas with the requisite authority of your line manager
- The maintenance of clients records both legal/statutory and accounting
- The completion of all trust control functions within agreed time frames, including periodic review, accounts, updating of registers etc
- Ensuring all clients assets are correctly identified, allocated and under full control of the trust company, or their delegated representatives
- Ensuring relevant group procedures are being adhered to and where appropriate putting forward suggestions for additional procedures or amendments to the existing procedures
- Compliant with responsibilities set out in the procedures manual in general and the operational section in particular
- Review of financial statements for entities under administration
- To provide assistance to the Senior Trust Officer as workloads dictate
- Provide training and support to any direct reports so they are able to undertake the role to the required standard
- Such other duties as the jobholder’s peers may reasonably request
- Organise and prioritise effectively so as to be able to successfully manage their caseload, and any direct reports
- Be accurate in their work and have excellent attention to detail
- Be able to demonstrate interpersonal skills in order to successfully manage personnel and build good relationships with clients, advisers and colleagues alike
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have excellent technical and product knowledge and experience of administering offshore structures
- Work with integrity, resilience and flexibility in order to cope with the day to day demands of the role
- Strong personal drive and commitment to continual learning and obtain relevant professional qualifications where necessary
- Ability to set and meet objectives
- Proactive and able to use initiative
- Able to think in a creative manner to deliver innovate solutions
