What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct – Drug Use & Abuse position at SUNY Sullivan?

SUNY Sullivan is accepting applications for part-time faculty to teach Drug Use and Abuse for fall 2023. The successful candidate must be willing and able to commit to delivering well-prepared lessons; holding weekly office hours; engaging in regular and timely communication with students and staff via college email; developing and following clear and transparent grading practices; adhering to college and department policies; and submitting requested grades, records, and academic paperwork by posted deadlines.

This course is scheduled to be taught online.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in a subject area, a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching.
  • Possess the ability to interact with a diverse student and staff population effectively.
  • Possess a strong commitment to student success.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Applications will be accepted until the position is filled; the review of resumes will be on-going. Salary is determined by a candidate’s rank at SUNY Sullivan, based on experience, education, and contact hours. The full salary range is $655 per contact hour to $740 per contact hour.
