Seeking a kind, calm, confident and reliable person to serve as a team member. This job consists of supporting a lovely young woman with acute physical challenges.
You and your teammates would support this young lady in all her daily physical needs, such as assisting her with eating all meals, hygiene needs, and all medical related needs. It is very important that the health and safety of this young woman is prioritized. The employee is also responsible for service documentation and various reporting obligations. The type and amount of assistance, support and guidance required are decided through reciprocal person-centered planning processes. An ideal candidate will be able to lift between 50-100Ibs, have experience working with the ID population, as well as be willing to follow all CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19 and the flu, as this young woman is a high risk for contracting illnesses.
Wages/Schedule:
- Pay Range: $27.00-$30.00 per hour to start
- Expected hours: 35 hours per week
- Monday through Friday 8am-3pm shift and 3pm-8pm; may be some weekend availability as well
Expectations of Employee:
- Participate in all required training and meetings.
- Fill out and submit daily service notes and timekeeping documents.
- Communicate promptly and in advance regarding all scheduling concerns.
- Report any health and safety concerns appropriately that arise when working with the participant.
C.N.A. Certification or bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Gerontology, Special Education or Social Work or NADD Competency Based Certification
Other desired qualifications include:
- Direct experience with the ID population as well as attention to detail of medical requirements.
- Understanding of, and ability to apply the values of empowerment and collaboration.
- Must have driver's license and access to reliable transportation, meet all state minimum safety, registration, and insurance requirements.
