Environmental Service Aid

We are an inpatient drug treatment program seeking highly motivated and dedicated Enviornmental Service Aids to join our team. Candidates must be able to ensure compliance of OASAS Inpatient Rehab and Inpatient Detox Regulations to support our clients and personnel.

Shift: Tuesday - Saturday from 3:00pm - 11:00pm.

Responsibilities:

• Perform sanitizing and disinfecting work throughout the facility in patient care areas, exam rooms, waiting rooms, restrooms, offices, meeting rooms, etc.
• Perform general cleaning tasks such as, but not limited to, trash/recycling biohazard removal, dusting, wet wiping, glass cleaning, vacuuming, spotting, polishing, and mopping.
• Complete "Detail Cleaning" such as wiping ceiling vents, high/low dusting, wiping furniture, edge vacuuming and baseboard cleaning.
• Perform basic equipment care, checks for wear and damage on assigned equipment.
• Must stay current and knowledgeable on proper disinfection practices and infection control requirements, standards, and techniques for infection reduction.
• Perform light extraction carpet cleaning and scrubbing of safety flooring using automated equipment.
• Observe and inspect assigned areas for maintenance and security needs and report needed repairs as soon as possible.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting or similar preferred.

SKILLS:

• Professionalism along with speed and attention to detail
• Proven working experience in relevant field (healthcare facility)
• Ability to work independently and remain motivated
• Helpful with customer service orientation
• Prioritization and time management skills
• Knowledge of English language
