I. SUMMARY OF THE JOB
The Receptionist is responsible for performing clerical support functions in an efficient manner in accordance with current Federal, state and local standards and established policies and procedures.
He / she is also responsible for providing a comfortable, safe and homelike environment for the residents.
II. QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of all required training courses.
At least 18 years of age.
Neat and professional in appearance.
III. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKLLS AND ABILITIES
l. Demonstrates a positive team spirit and a willingness to provide the highest level of resident safety and comfort.
Knowledge and adherence to Federal, state and local standards and company policies and procedures.
Ability to move throughout work area, bend, see, reach, lift, grasp, push, pull, and distinguish smells and temperatures.
Ability to work around ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times hostile people within the workplace.
Ability to communicate in a clear and courteous manner.
Ability to speak, read and write in the English language.
Ability to problem solve within the scope of role.
l . Ensures that residents are treated with dignity, kindness and respect; maintains residents’ privacy and confidentiality and adheres to resident’s bill of rights at all times.
Follows schedule as directed by supervisor in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Operates paging / telephone system, receives inquiries and releases information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Maintains a current file of all residents in accordance with standard policy.
Greets and provides information to all residents, visitors and guests.
Reports suspicious persons / information to supervisor immediately.
Ensures that residents and visitors abide by established policies.
Assists the administrator and department directors as needed.
Receives, sorts and distributes mail as needed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Operates all office equipment as required.
Orders supplies as needed.
Monitors presence and location of sales representatives in the facility.
Assists with safety, fire protection, and prevention programs.
Reports accidents and incidents to supervisor immediately.
Completes forms, reports, studies, etc. as needed.
Assists with special projects as needed.
Ensures that a clean, orderly, sanitary and safe environment for residents is always maintained.
Makes recommendations regarding equipment and supply needs.
Participates in ongoing education and training as needed.
Participates in all required meetings and assists in preparing and implementing reports, agendas and programs.
