Job Description:
Objective of the role
The HR Ops Generalist is a trusted partner, to support HR operations in North America. A key role in promoting Company values, expected behaviors and culture. Demonstrate the highest levels of integrity, the right intent and capabilities to achieve results. The HR Generalist will work with the HR team to flawlessly support the day-to-day HR operations. The HR Generalist will be involved in different aspects of the HR department, including preboarding and onboarding of new hires.
Focus Area
- Work as an integral part of the HR Ops team for NA, supporting the team to deliver a best in class HR service to all employees, identifying opportunities for improvement and enabling solutions and actions
- Acting in operational capacity to support HR Ops day to day administration
- Supporting local, multi-functional teams in North America
- Handle employee life cycle process (offer letters, employee file, I-9 process, etc)
- Liaise with Benefit vendors (employee onboarding/off-boarding)
- Liaise with the payroll vendor (employee pay life cycle changes)
- Be the focal point for local HR Services
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees
- Assist with legal regulations/filings
- Maintain, update, create policies, and procedures process
- Administrative support based on business needs
About You
- 3 years’ experience in similar HR Ops roles
- A BS/BA, or equivalent work experience in Human Resources
- IT/MS Office Skills (i.e. Outlook, Workday, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Advanced Excel (preferable)
- Experience in both Canada and the U.S. (preferable)
- Self-starter with a high level of commitment and energy
- High integrity – makes and keeps commitments and knows how to build a long-term relationship with employees, partners and vendors
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach is essential, with the drive to achieve results
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks effectively and work to tight deadlines
- Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy and pay attention to detail
- Self-motivated and quick learner, and good communication skills
- Ability to work both independently, autonomously and as part of a team
- The ability to work independently and as a team player
