Position Overview:
The Rehabilitation Neuropsychologist provides services that identify, quantify, describe and facilitate changes in cognition and behavior associated with central nervous system dysfunction and mental health disorders. Functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team and provides assessments and treatments for patients in a hospital/clinic setting. Responsibilities include performing inpatient and outpatient neuropsychological and psychodiagnostic evaluations for patients 18 years of age or older. In addition to the minimum qualifications and essential job functions, each employee shall meet established age and skill specific competencies. Skill competencies requiring additional development will be identified in the first year of employment and addressed annually in the employee's performance plan.

EDUCATION
Doctorate: Doctorate Ph.D. or PsyD in psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology, clinical, or health psychology from an APA-accredited institution.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
PSY-Psychologist of California ABPP-Clinical Neuropsychology
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
Completion of one-year post-doctoral level experience in Clinical Neuropsychology (two years preferred).
Hospital experience and all requirements must be met for obtaining hospital privileges required.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of human development, neuropsychological treatment, and treatment modalities advance knowledge of a wide variety of neuropsychological assessment measures and psychotherapeutic interventions. Knowledge of and adherence to American Psychological Association (APA) ethical standards. Knowledge of neurodevelopmental disorders listed in the current International Statistical Classification of Diseases (ICD) as well as Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM), as well as treatment approaches including psychotropic medication familiarity and skill with a broad selection of psychometric tests and testing activities including administering, scoring, interpreting and reports results, as relevant to the population. knowledge of the impact of cultural and linguistic diversity on test validity and the ability to adjust assessment approach depending on patient background and presenting complaint. Ability to work flexibly and effectively with a wide range of patients to accommodate physical disabilities, and pediatric medical and neurodevelopmental disorders, while ensuring valid test administration and interpretation. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate results succinctly. Ability to work cooperatively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team leadership and management skills pre-doctoral internship/training with experience in either adult or pediatric neuropsychology, based on specialty area/ department requirements.
Pay Range: 63.74-95.6
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
