EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's: Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association with a B.S., or B.A. degree.
Master's: Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association with a M.A., or M.S. degree.
Other: Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association with a D.P.T. degree.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
PT-Physical Therapist
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
Experience with physical rehabilitation, either through educational affiliations or prior work association is preferred.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Language skills – ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, patients, customers and the general public.
Mathematical skills – ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent.
Reasoning – ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations and graphs). Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to provide patient care to all assigned patients as prescribed by the physician.
Ability to reason clearly during patient evaluations, assessments and treatments.
Ability to handle mental stress.
Pay Range: $49.29 - $66.22 / per hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
