Position Overview:
Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation is a not for profit corporation that exists to provide medical services, research and education. The foundation provides the infrastructure for the delivery of physician services, and contracts with a separate corporation comprised of physicians and other care providers to deliver the clinical services. This multi-specialty foundation will provide a platform from which new physicians can be recruited to continue to provide physician services in a nonprofit, community setting. The Foundation's vision is to create a medical group that will deliver high quality, market competitive medical services.
 

This position will be responsible for the coordination and completion of projects and processes that result in new or enhanced clinical abilities.

 Responsibilities include planning, executing and finalizing assigned projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.    



Qualifications:
Education:  
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent in education and experience required.
 
Experience:
  • 2 years of experience in healthcare required
  • 4 years of project management experience including documenting and gaining stakeholder approval on scope, definition and business requirements and with projects crossing multiple business segments and approvers required 
  • Project Management experience with a high concentration on healthcare strategy, process transformation, and team leadership highly desirable
  • Strong and proven coordination and project management skills required
  • Experience managing multiple-parallel business development efforts required
  • Must have experience with facilitating mapping needs with the ability to interact / present to physicians and coordinate multiple busy stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Leadership:
Influencing, negotiating and delegating abilities
Adaptability, tolerant to stressed situations
 
Skills & Knowledge:
  • General understanding of operations or general background in healthcare and organizational relationships
  • Knowledge of healthcare standards and regulations
  • Knowledge of electronic medical record systems for SPMF
  • Knowledge of proper written and oral communications, including composition, format, grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics
  • Highly organized; detailed oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; solid written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to effectively facilitate project team and other related meetings.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and propose improvements.  Lean training preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize work and operate under tight deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; results-oriented
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to balance numerous priorities at the same time, be detail-oriented, self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strongly motivated and flexible, able to work independently; recognizes ‘next steps’ with little to no coaching
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.  Ability to adjust communication style to different audiences, team members, and stakeholders
  • Problem solving skills.  Planning and organizing.  Conflict resolution
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to influence peers and leadership across multiple business areas Comfortable driving risk mitigation, issue resolution and making reporting status to leadership
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint), including MS Project required.
  • Extensive knowledge with spread sheet development and analysis, i.e. excel and access and analytical applications, queries, etc.
