We are seeking a Tech Support Agent to join our team! You will be responsible for helping customers resolve technical issues. This position is shared with other support agents on different hours of the day. This position may require late hours and some weekend hours. We support our Point of Sale system that include Servers, Touch Screen Terminals, Printers, and other hardware including our software. Along with help desk support, we also install on site so there will be opportunity to travel nationally as our client base continues to grow. We are looking for experienced technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Answer support calls
- Log service calls
- Process tickets
- Provide information about the products and services
- Troubleshoot and resolve client issues and concerns remotely
- Document and update customer records based on interactions
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and services
- Some travel for 2 to 3 days are possible for on site installs
- Track hardware inventory
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, or other related fields
- Ability to remain professional when resolving issues in time stress situations with clients
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Professional support demeanor
- Excellent phone communication skills
Skills:
- CompTIA A
- Microsoft SQL scripting
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Remote access with RDP and Teamviewer
- Able to create a wired network
- Able to create a secured wireless network
- Point of Sale hardware and software experience
- Cat5 wiring / terminations
Experience:
5 years of computer hardware : Building computers and servers. Raid cards and how a raid works. Can name and explain each component inside a PC or Server.
3 years of network : Built a wired network multiple times. Can tell me what the color code is if asked on the spot for B. Understands subnets and ranges of them. Knows what DHCP is and what DNS is.
2 years of help desk : Is professional on the phone. Must be able to multitask calls.
2 years of OS installations : understands what Server Essentials, vs Standard Server OS's. What Windows 10 pro is used for vs Home. Understands partitions. Can create and reload a server with a bootable USB from an ISO.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour
