POSITION: Director of Rehabilitation
CLASSIFICATION: Full-time - Exempt - Professional
RESPONSIBLE TO: COO
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Case Managers/Apartment Supervisor
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
- Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Rehabilitation program at SVRC Industries to include oversight of the activities and planning for the Vocational Rehab Program that includes Community Based Skill Building, Community Integrated Employment, Community Living Support, and other vocational services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure efficient and effective use of agency resources to maintain a positive bottom line for the program
- Develop new and innovative vocational rehabilitation programs.
- Serves as the outreach coordinator for the Vocational Rehab program ensuring candidates meet eligibility criteria as well as schedule start dates and inform referral sources and participants of agency services and availability.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with referral sources and stakeholders in the community to improve the outcomes of customer service.
- Implement CARF standards and policies and prepare applicable reports. Assist with training appropriate staff.
- Attends all applicable staff meetings. Schedule and chair meetings for staff under your supervision.
- Continue to seek out and solicit other rehabilitation contract opportunities.
- Be responsible for the safety of the staff and persons served under his/her supervision.
- Communicates possible accommodations and need for specific assistant technology to help participant become more independent.
- Exhibit high levels of standards in performance, conduct and agency integration.
- Expected to be on-call after normal business hours to ensure a successful operation of the SVRC Apartments and health and safety of the student residents.
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinates development of staff training programs and plans. Provides technical and advisory assistance to programs as necessary.
- May assist in planning and developing joint programs in conjunction with other staff.
- May assist in the preparation of annual reports of the agency, and publicity to promote activities, such as community outreach, parental education programs or new services.
- Attends meetings and professional development opportunities as assigned.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Master?s degree in social work, vocational rehabilitation, or a related human service field is preferred. Current certifications ? especially licensing in social work or CRC - will be given special consideration.
- A Bachelor?s degree in a related field, and at least four (4) years of progressive experience will be considered in lieu of M.A. or M.S.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills are essential to this position.
- Must be innovative, adaptive, and possess excellent computer skills and proficient in all modes of social media including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.
- Proficient in using Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
