Marketing Assistant Job Description:
The Marketing Assistant position reports to the Marketing Director and will assist with all elements of Swain branding. This person will have daily management of Swain and it's entities online brand and presence and will be responsible for creating a consistent, creative, and engaging presence on all social media platforms. Also under the umbrella of online management is daily oversight and upkeep of the Swain website content such as events, updates, slope reports, etc. This person will have an eye for design and the ability to assist the marketing director in creating marketing materials and design assets for print and online use. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment and be very adaptable. Along with any other tasks assigned by the Marketing Director or other members of management.
General responsibilities for this position include:
- Assist Marketing Director with Swain and it's entities branding
- Daily management of Social Media presence (Instagram, fb, TikTok, etc), including creating content
- Daily management of Swain Website (Content upkeep, updates, slope report, etc)
- Respond to guest requests and complaints in a courteous and helpful manner
- Assist with event planning to include the scheduling of programs, scheduling live music, and organizing event materials to ensure a smooth running program
Specific tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Daily posts on Social Media platforms (Instagram, fb, TikTok, etc)
- Work with multiple managers to maintain a social media schedule and ensure postings cover all departments and locations
- Create and edit videos for social media and website updates
- Photography
- Creative oversight (under the direction of Director) of online presence such as contests and themes
- General management of Swain Website Content
- Daily updates on Swain Website of updates, events and corrections
- Daily posting of Swain slope report
- Book events in and out of season
- Schedule entertainment for events, including taking payments and managing contracts
- Assist the Wedding Coordinator when needed
- Attend vendor show to showcase the Swain brand
- Maintain a good working relationship with other departments
- Communicate issues to manager in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned by the Marketing Director and General Manager
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Degree in Marketing or related field preferred
- High-level organization skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize goals
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work evenings, and weekends, based on business needs.
- Must be able to take initiative, and independently complete tasks and projects.
- Must maintain a positive, professional attitude always and be receptive to input and constructive criticism.
- Graphic design skills preferred - knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Sports photography and videography experience preferred
- Love of winter sports highly preferred
