Utilities from Hawaii to New York rely on VPP programs enabled by our proprietary distributed energy resource management software to make their grid more resilient.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Swell Energy is looking for an experienced ERP Product Owner, who will be responsible for managing the support of the ERP System. They will serve as the technical lead for any project involving the ERP system including but not limited to ERP implementation, upgrades, customizations and third party integrations.

This position will have equal responsibility for the following parts:

  • ERP Administration
  • ERP Support
  • ERP Data & Reporting
  • ERP Product Ownership

The Product Owner will be responsible for collaborating with business stakeholders to create a ERP roadmap and prioritizing work to achieve that vision. The Product Owner is also expected to write jira stories, understand ERP capabilities required by end users, determine all the dependencies and moving parts that go into completing ERP requests, and ensure successful delivery.

  • Develop the overall design and architecture of the ERP system, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Plan and design integration of the ERP system with existing applications and systems.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data within the ERP system  
  • Oversee testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Create reports and ensure data consistency.
  • Manage user access and permissions within the ERP system
  • Break down and prioritize delivery of ERP features by translating business requirements into actionable user stories, developing and maintaining a backlog for the technical team.
  • Negotiate features, priority and timelines and continuously drive alignment of the ERP vision with business stakeholders across finance and supply chain units.
  • Provide guidance on best practices utilizing ERP functionalities 
  • Manage ERP support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.

Basic Qualifications :

  • 5 years relevant work experience with ERP systems, supporting end users, utilizing integrations,  performing customizations, migrating data, as ERP System Analyst or ERP Product Owner
  • Experience in defining the structure of the ERP solution, considering factors like scalability, modularity, and integration points & ERP integration, implementation and testing
  • Experience with data migration strategies and techniques
  • 2 years experience using Agile processes and methodologies 
  • 3 year experience using Oracle ERP

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience. 
  • Collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors and relevant parties
  • Interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills; ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers and staff; communicate technical issues clearly and understandably to non-technical individuals 
  • Problem solving skills to address technical challenges and resolve issues during ERP system implementation and maintenance
  • Ability to adapt easily to rapidly evolving priorities and to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines
  • Functional knowledge of business processes in the following areas Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory and Warehouse Management
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software applications and perform as a subject matter expert and assist in knowledge transfer to the user community at large. 
  • Startup experience is a definite plus

Salary:

$115,000 - $140,000
