The DSD Planning Manager is accountable for the execution and optimization of the planning functions for delivery planning, in alignment with organizational strategy. Responsibilities:
- Lead route planning teams
- Partners and collaborates with operations teams and other entities to drive continuous improvement to maximize productivity, minimize operating cost and ensure consistent execution of tactical and strategic plans with joint accountability in delivering business results enabling them to meet customer needs
- Responsible for effective internal and external change management throughout project implementation and strategy change to meet the evolving needs of our customers and our organization
- Accountable for enabling the teams to analyze and interpret data, and clearly communicate findings to cross-functional partners that support organizational goals
- Responsible for the development of direct reports and successors, sharing subject matter expertise, and continually evaluating the effectiveness of the dispatch training team
- Ability to effectively communicate through various channels and respond to questions from all levels of the organization. Translates complex ideas into clear messages that influence decisions at a leadership level
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years experience required, or a minimum of five years of progressive job experience including people, project, or account management with leadership and influencing skills
- APICS, Six Sigma or OE, Green Belt Certification preferred
- Experience in logistics planning leadership or analytical experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with mathematical concepts and technology including Microsoft Office Suite and SAP preferred
- Working knowledge of LEO, Vendsmart, Samsara, and Forms.com
- Must have strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills with timely follow up
- Travel: up to 30%
