About the Role:
You will be designing a new learning strategy that'll help 14,000 people develop the capabilities and skills needed to bring business strategy to life. You will lead a lean, but award-winning team of experts to design a learning architecture for Swiss Re Group. All of this, while choosing where and how you work.
You will be an SVP-level role with a mandate to revamp and re-design our approach towards Learning & Development based on our business strategy, the best practices in the industry and the latest market trends. You will also be the decision-maker on our learning infrastructure, ensuring that it remains at par with the best in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- As a senior expert, you will understand the organisation's business strategy and design an appropriate learning and development architecture to support it
- You will lead and develop a team of consultants, and work collaboratively with other teams and vendors to support and land your strategy and bring it to life across Swiss Re
- As part of this effort, you will own, re-design, standardize and continually improve our existing learning portfolios and programmes and standards
- You will also influence, govern, and optimize (but not own) large-scale decentralized learning programmes that take place across the organisation, with a particular focus on consulting during strategic business transformations and the technical and non-technical capabilities derived from them
- You will develop a fit-for-purpose skills taxonomy for the organisation, collaborating with our broader team and other areas such as Strategic People Planning, while drawing on industry best practices
- Review and improve our approach to managing learning needs, our learning infrastructure, and our learning delivery to ensure that we embed learning in the flow of work for our people
- You will work with our broader team to re-design career development and growth, leverage the skills taxonomy and ensure that we have the best technology solutions to support a seamless learning experience for our people

About You:
As an experienced consultant who has led or been part of HR CoEs, you're a naturally design and execution oriented professional. Leveraging innovative learning practices stimulates you, and you are great with prioritization and quick in delivering results. In addition, you're a confident communicator who can engage with senior leaders.
Essentials
- Minimum 10 years of experience in global HR CoEs, with a strong background in topics such as learning and development, strategic workforce planning, etc.
- Ability to navigate a global organisation, and quickly build relationships within the team and beyond, with significant stakeholder management experience
- Strong language skills – top-notch written (and spoken) English is a requirement
- A background in "new ways of learning" and traditional learning approaches, with a sound understanding of progressive learning trends, and technology supporting and driving learning
- Experience taking topics from ideation to executive proposals to a functioning strategy at pace, and guiding its implementation across a global organisation
- Excellent presentation skills (authoring and presenting) are a major plus

The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
