Description
The Sales Supervisor is responsible for the ensuring the efficient flow of the sales process for all Shooters World guests. Sales Supervisors spend the majority of their time on the sales floor assisting guests and ensuring that employees are executing set processes. The Sales Supervisor must be a servant leader and strive to develop their team every day.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Deliver the World’s Greatest Firearm Experience
- Ensure the efficient flow of the sales process for sales staff and customers
- Serve as a liaison between upper management and the sales team
- Ensure proper protocol is followed to guarantee that store is opened and closed with fully stocked and faced shelves
- Determine purchase prices for Pre-Owned Firearms and monitor the accuracy of the paperwork required to purchase Pre-Owned Firearms
- Work with the Merchandising Supervisor to ensure display integrity for both firearms and general store product (ammunition, holsters, magazines, etc.)
- Work with the Front-End Supervisor to ensure that the sales team provides the necessary components of a firearm sale to the cashiers (Correct Model Firearm, Correct Box, Current Customer Identification, etc.)
- Mentor and coach members of the sales team
- Ensure the sales team’s awareness of advertised sales
- Ongoing coaching and development of team members to connect with customers by graciously listening to questions or concerns; asking open ended questions; recommending solutions; answering questions and responding to concerns in a timely manner
- Recommend new, promotional, seasonal, and high turn products
- Conduct Monthly Progress Reports for each member of the sales team
- Formulate, manage, and distribute sales team schedules
- Set team and individual team member sales goals
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of retail leadership experience
- Ability to meet & exceed sales goals -- proven sales success
- Outstanding oral and written communication, interpersonal, persuasive, leadership, and negotiation skills required to interact with all levels of the store team
- Proven ability to manage processes and to lead and develop a team, build relationships and influence decisions
- Functional proficiency with computer programs and systems
- Be an individual who is driven, confident and flexible
- Must pass drug test, background check and any pre-employment tests if applicable
