Class B CDL Driver

PURPOSE

As a Class B CDL driver, your purpose will be to deliver and recover a variety of construction equipment to and from our customers in a sale, timely, efficient, and professional manner.  As an ambassador for our company, you will be interacting with our customers and contributing to our success and growth by exhibiting exceptional communication and customer service skills.                             

POSITION SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES

1          Maintain electronic driver's logs and complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.   

2          Adhere to all safety requirements, specific to hauling all types of construction equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.   

3          Physical exertion required including frequent walking, climbling, bending, squatting, crouching and reaching.         

4          Apply knowledge of commercial driving skills in maneuvering at various speeds in difficult locations, heavy traffic, inclement weather, and tight loading/unloading areas.           

5          Maintain open communication with manager or dispatcher for delivery schedules.

6          Observe safety rules and regulations specific to customer job sites, facilities, and other customer locations.        

7          Report vehicle accidents to the manager or dispatcher immediately.           

8          Report any damage to Impact equipment to the manager or dispatcher immediately.         

9          Maintain a positive attitude based on changing delivery schedules to meet customer demands.     

10        Promote a professional attitude with excellent customer service.     

11        Maintain a safe and clean working environment.      

12        Perform other duties as assigned by manager.           

QUALIFICATIONS

1          Valid Class B CDL with acceptable driving record.

2          2 years of DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.

3          Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.  

4          Sense of Urgency with a desire to serve is essential.

5          The ability to promote the Vision, Mission and Values of Impact.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1          Must have physical stamina and strength to stand and walk for extended periods of time. 

2          Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs.        

3          Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.      

4          Must be able to drive in all weather and traffic conditions for an extended period of time.
