Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Employment Law Associate with 2-4 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling employment law matters, a passion for advocating for clients, and the ability to manage cases from start to finish.
You will be responsible for providing high-quality legal services to both employees and employers on a wide range of workplace issues.
- Active bar membership in California.
- 2-4 years of employment law experience, with a strong understanding of state and federal employment regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for clients in court and negotiations.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with depositions, discovery, and courtroom advocacy is preferred.
Requirements
- Represent clients in employment disputes, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour claims, and wrongful termination.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
- Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and taking / defending depositions.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and represent clients in mediations.
- Advise clients on employment-related issues, including compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Attend hearings, arbitrations, and trials as necessary.
- Stay current on employment law developments and trends to ensure the best legal advice for clients.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client management.
