To support that challenge, we are currently seeking a Digital Agriculture Solutions Marketing Lead for Syngenta’s Marketing team in Greensboro, NC.
The Digital Agriculture Solutions (DAS) Marketing Lead role will lead the development of DAS marketing offers, development of the National Campaign and the successful transition to Commercial Unit (CU) campaigns to deliver on grower and value chain account business plans.
Accountabilities
- Develop and lead the DAS National Campaign necessary to deliver on commitments established with value chain partners and to implement digital solutions with growers
- Lead development of marketing offers/programs to implement the DAS strategy consistently across CU Marketing Teams working to embed them into the commercial unit annual campaigns
- Ensure delivery of effective strategies, tactics, materials, Advertising & Promotion commitment and other items as required to furthers the potential of the AgriEdge, Sustainable Solutions, CU Marketing, Key Account Management and Syngenta Digital teams to accomplish their mission and objectives
- Ensure alignment between Global Digital Agriculture (DA) and DAS teams in regards to proof of concept and pilot projects
- Lead development of questions to understand business performance that will result in improvement in optimization
- Establish and update the Master DAS planning and delivery schedule to keep assigned projects functioning properly and on target completion dates; request the necessary resources to take remedial action when off track
- Oversee the Post Project Review team and prepares and distribute a DAS post action report that identifies lessons learned, successful tactics employed, new opportunities and methods for performance improvement
- Explore and suggest DAS value offer enhancements and delivery platforms to create new value for grower and channel participants
- Monitor competitive landscape, industry innovation and gap-filling opportunities with grower channel and recommend remedial action or countermeasures where threats may exist
- Interface with customers and the channel to establish their DAS needs, then conduct research, and explore methods to deliver new technology offerings, cooperative marketing opportunities and ancillary offers to Syngenta customers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in an agricultural or business-related field
- A minimum of 4 years of marketing experience in a highly competitive, customer focused environment is highly preferred
- Comprehension and utilization of the Marketing and Sales Excellence (MaSE) methodology
- Travel Requirements: usually around 25%, initially higher during team building and customer engagement
- All applicants must be eligible to work in the US
Preferred Requirements
- Advanced leadership, consensus building and analytical skills
- Excellent written, oral communication and presentation ability,
- Ability to influence Senior Management thinking and gain approval of innovative ideas
- Familiarity with agronomic assessment, crop production, utilization of farm management systems, effective stewardship practices and ag distribution channel alignment
