Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, works with business partners within the business function to align technology solutions with business strategies. Assist with monitoring and analysis of data used in decisions relating to various strategies and initiatives. Identifies and communicates business needs and translates these needs into understandable requirements; determines if internal or external solutions exist or whether new solutions are needed; determines if these solutions impact existing work processes and systems as well as ensures proper integration; provides input surround buy vs. build decisions for possible solutions. Prioritizes, analyzes, and documents business processes; processes root cause analyst when issues arise. Identifies opportunities for improvement/enhancement, and works across division lines to provide coordination with business units, support units, and IT; is the customer advocate in fully defining needs and business requirements and in providing information for governance and decision-making teams. Responsible for configurations of IT systems to support business.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as a subject matter and system resource, taking a lead role in the application of his/her area(s) of expertise. Provides technical innovation and leadership to satisfy customers' business requirements. Provides direction in one or more IT system platforms.
- Facilitates meetings with customers and peer groups. Works directly with the customers to solicit, analyze, and document and manage requirements through the full project life cycle. Assists in design of full life cycle systems and application development. Maintains constant communication and visits with Synovus bank management at all levels, and develops strong working relationships.
- "Analyzes business partner's operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions; understands and develops appropriate business models to represent business requirements and meet business needs. Understands the difference between a requirement and a desire or want.
- Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology; ensures technology solutions are in compliance with and uphold organizational standards. Develops business models to represent requirements, such as use cases, business process flows, data flow diagrams, etc.
- Obtains, captures, and validates needed information from stakeholders to form requirements through various analysis techniques. Translates high level business requirements into specifications for Vendors and IT organization. Responsible for requirements management, approval, change, and traceability.
- Develops test plans, supervises and performs tests, and documents test results for new strategies and systems. Develops plans to modify existing strategies and/or systems.
- Assists in resolving business system problems and/or assumes responsibility for maintaining system integrity. Maintains a working knowledge of functional changes to the system. Maintains system configurations of the IT system platform in relation to business needs.
- Conducts systems analysis with a focus on business process models and use cases.
- Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
- Performs other related duties as required.
