Human Resources / Front Desk Coordinator

Reporting to the Associate Director, Human Resources, Syros Pharmaceuticals is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and resourceful Human Resources /Front Desk Coordinator to join our team! This is a great opportunity to get exposure to the many pillars of Human Resources at a fast-paced biotechnology company.
Front Desk
- Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors and employees and act as the go-to person to address questions or redirect as necessary
- Order and stock inventory for the kitchen, office supplies and other special requests
- Support evolving post-pandemic workplace activities and policies
HR Coordination

Support high touch recruiting efforts through coordination of all aspects of the recruiting lifecycle
- Interview coordination and scheduling
- Thoughtful engagement with a diverse range of candidates
- Internal communications with all levels of the organization
- Help coordinate the summer internship program and contribute to a positive experience for interns and managers

Play a key role in creating a warm welcome for our new hires by supporting a successful onboarding experience
- Work with hiring managers to understand new hire set up in advance of start dates
- Coordinate with IT, Facilities, and other departments to define network access, desk assignments, and equipment needs
- Schedule new hire onboarding meetings
- Prepare equipment (i.e. laptop, keyboard, mouse, etc.) for delivery to new hires or set up desk space
- Communicate onboarding plan and what to expect to new hires
- Act as the point person for questions new hires may have
- Contribute to learning & development initiatives by coordinating Syros mentor program, lunch and learns, and other ad hoc training programs
- Partner with HR team to develop and execute employee engagement activities including but not limited to fundraising events, wellness initiatives and other social activities. Support opportunities to increase connection for employees in a hybrid/remote environment
- Assist with coordination, set-up and breakdown of company meetings and all hands gatherings
- Develop and manage vendor relationships with wellness and food providers
- Work with HR team members to support development and execution of other initiatives related to employee engagement, benefits, learning and development and teambuilding

Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in an office environment
