Electrical Technician - Locomotive Electrician :
- Inspect, service and make necessary repairs to locomotives and passenger railcars
- Troubleshooting, analysis, fault detection and repair of locomotive electrical and train control systems, sub-systems and components
- Perform modifications from drawings, blueprints or electrical systems schematics
- Perform fault detection and diagnostics through the use of various diagnostic equipment and testing tools
- Install and maintain electrical wiring and equipment such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and other electrical / electronic equipment, etc
Qualifications :
- Experience working as an electrician, electrical technician, electro-mechanical technician in an industrial / manufacturing environment or in transportation industry ( railway / railroad, aviation, marine, etc ) or a similar military service experience
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, electric circuit schematics
