Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Instructor to join our team. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other special needs. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, implementing educational programs, and promoting independence and social skills development.
Responsibilities -
Work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities to provide direct support and assistance in various settings - Implement individualized educational programs and behavior plans - Assist with personal care tasks, including medication administration and activities of daily living (ADLs) - Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes independence, socialization, and community integration - Utilize effective communication strategies to engage and interact with individuals - Collect data on individual progress and behavior to inform program planning and evaluation
Experience -
Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly preferred - Knowledge of working with people with special needs in areas such as social work, special education, or childcare is beneficial - Familiarity with medication administration protocols is a plus - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and other team members - Experience in data collection and documentation is desirable This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with special needs.
