Title Accounting/HR Generalist
Department Accounting/Human Resources
Reports to HR Manager and Assistant Controller
Job summary
Key support role working directly with HR Manager and Assistant Controller.
Opportunity to develop into expanded roles with growing family company.
Job Responsibilities
- Supports financial accountability by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling AP and AR invoices.
- Reconciles Production Data, Labor Hours by certifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Prepares data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Supports Human Resources and Accounting operations by typing, copying, scanning, filing, and binding.
- Serves customers by backing up receptionist.
- Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
- Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance, evaluations, etc.)
- Supports human resources processes by scheduling appointments, conducting orientation, maintaining records and information.
- Deal with employees’ requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (time and attendance records)
- Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees
Minimum requirements
- College degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience in accounting a plus
Abilities required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
- Telephone skills, typing and word processing
- Accuracy, attention to detail and organization
- Dependability and professionalism
- Data entry
