Cashier

We are looking for a motivated and friendly individual for the Cashier position at Ta Canijo. The person in this role will be responsible for processing cash, debit, credit and check transactions using a cash register or other point-of-sale system in a restaurant environment.

A great cashier will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. If you are open to learning, are able to follow instructions, function in a fast-paced environment, and work well in teams then you would be a great addition to our team!

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and help determine their orders
• Manage transactions using cash registers

• Collect payments whether in cash or credit
• Ensure all orders are delivered to the customers in a timely manner.
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
• Place food orders in the appropriate bags

• Prep all front house foods
• Stock all front house items

Requirements

• Work experience as a Cashier or in a similar role in restaurants (Preferred but not required)
• Basic PC knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS (Preferred but not required)
• Good math skills
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer satisfaction-oriented
• High school degree (Not required if still in HS)
• Bilingual - Spanish/English (Preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
