Role Purpose
Responsible for performing a wide array of onsite problem determination and resolution processes of PCs/laptops, shipping stations and applications, apple hardware and software by means of hardware maintenance, repairs, software installations, and general configurations and support. Will have knowledge of support procedures for many applications including warehouse systems, shipping applications, Apple devices, laptops, VOIP phones, and mobile devices, and will be required to work with a team of professionals to provide our employees with optimal business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage helpdesk, resolve tickets, and escalate to proper team members when needed.
- Install new/rebuild existing PCs, configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware.
- Manage and troubleshoot warehouse shipping stations, printers, and scanners.
- Organize and coordinate activities associated with installation, deployment, and upgrade of software (Windows and Mac OS), hardware, voice/video, and network devices as it relates to the desktop and warehouse environment.
- Verifies completion of all scheduled jobs, including updates and device restarts.
- Troubleshoot printer and copier issues for both desktops and shipping stations.
- Deploy and troubleshoot iPhones and iPads.
- Manage users in Windows Active Directory.
- Some traveling may be required.
Skills and Competencies required
- Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 5 years of desktop and systems support experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse setting.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft Certified Professional, etc. preferred.
- Troubleshooting Windows and Apple Mac OS operating systems, and PC/Mac hardware.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and configuring mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, Mac books, etc.
- Network knowledge and device connectivity troubleshooting experience (TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of multiple computer software applications such as Microsoft Office suite, Office 365, Adobe Suite, Endicia, ShipExec, etc.
- Familiarity with service ticketing system such as Service Now.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must be well-organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize & execute multiple analysis
- Strong work-ethic, flexibility and willingness to get the job done and be solution-oriented
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Must be comfortable working with tobacco products, specifically premium cigars
- Retail and Cigars/Spirts industry experience a plus
Work Conditions
- Conditions are nearly ideal. This includes usual office working conditions.
- Requires light physical effort. Occasionally lifts or moves light objects (under 10 lbs.)
