What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Assistant position at Tacen?
The Facilities Assistant helps oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of Tacen properties. This is a full time, non-exempt hourly position with a compensation range of $15-$17/hour. General working hours are between 8:30am-6:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Handling building repairs and perform both janitorial and maintenance services
- Perform routine tasks like changing light bulbs, minor painting, and light repairs
- Upkeep of janitorial services, including but not limited to; cleaning restrooms, vacuuming, washing windows, cleaning kitchenettes, sweeping common areas, etc.
- Provide support to the IT & Office Manager; duties will include, but are not limited to,
- assisting with minor infrastructure projects
- working on request facility enhancements
- setup/cleanup of public-facing events held onsite
- Provide backup support for Front Desk coverage when the Receptionist is not available, such as greeting customers, signing-in visitors, and monitoring overall building security
- Performing maintenance and janitorial tasks at additional Tacen properties in Cheyenne (Tacen headquarters building, Tacen-owned corporate housing, and others)
Nice to Haves:
- Work experience as a handyman or in a skilled trade, such as roofing, landscaping or plumbing
- Experience using Google Suite and/or other project management tools
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have the ability to bend and stand for long periods of time and lift as much as 40-pounds, occasionally
- Able to use a computer and internet
- Proven integrity & trustworthiness
