Responsibilities of Catering Line Cook
- Clean and maintain catering equipment and supplies.
- Undertake basic cooking duties, prepare, and serve food and beverages for events and functions.
- Help properly stock truck, as needed.
- Prepare dishes such as tacos, ceviches, etc.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Clean and maintain catering equipment and supplies.
Skills of Catering Line Cook:
- 2 years professional cooking experience
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Must have reliable transportation to job sites.
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Manual dexterity (can operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils)
- An excellent team player who can remain patient, positive & can communicate well while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Very good physical condition and endurance, must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- GREAT CAN-DO ATTITUDE
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality food presentation and service.
- Strong communication and customer service skills to interact with clients and guests.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Training from a culinary school will be an asset.
Physical Demands & Work Environments
- Work approximately 8 hours a day on your feet, excluding breaks (hours will vary)
- Come to work properly dressed, according to the uniform dress code.
Note: Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
