Position Summary
Responsible for installing and maintaining computers, printers and phones. Provide technical assistance to computer systems users.
Primary Duties
- Answer users’ inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operations to resolve problems.
- Set up computers and phones for employee use, ensuring proper installation operating systems, network and appropriate software.
- Install and perform minor repairs to computer, printers and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
- Performs installations and/or move office computer and telephone equipment.
- Troubleshoot computer failures and bring systems back on line as soon as possible to avoid interruptions.
- Work with external vendors to service major hardware or software problems.
- Maintain a record of solutions to refer to when repeated technical issues arise.
- Maintain licenses for software used throughout facility.
- Assist in implementing practices that will more effectively utilize IT resources.
- Configure and deploy mobile phones to employees.
- Maintain IT equipment database to track where equipment has been assigned, age of equipment, how it is configured, and maintenance work done on it.
Occasional Duties
- Perform routine IT administrative tasks – monitor system event and error logs, backup logs, minor software updates and patches and resource availability
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Attributes
Associate’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience. Two years previous experience to include computer service/repair. Two years’ experience providing administrative support, maintaining and troubleshooting Desktops and printers in Microsoft Active Directory environment. Understanding of IP phone configurations and telephone block wiring desirable. Good organizational and relationship building skills along with attention to detail. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize based on changing work conditions. Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.

- Requires speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate in person or over the phone.
