Tactica Solutions is seeking a qualified individual to be an alternate Communications security (COMSEC) Manager for the 116th Military Intelligence Brigade.
This is a junior-level to mid-level Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) position performing on Government site at Ft.
Eisenhower, GA with a requirement for occasional travel. This position will entail managing and dealing with multiple mission partners and COMSEC accounts around the world.
It will also require continuous engagement with mission partners and vendors in order to scale the program to meet customer needs and requirements.
Typical Job Duties and Tasks :
- Reviewing proposed new programs requiring COMSEC to ensure the security of the program.
- Advising management and mission partners on the current and planned COMSEC postures for all 116th MI BDE locations.
- Maintaining liaison with Government customers and COMSEC vendors to provide advice, guidance, and exchange information with regards to COMSEC standards and policies.
Serve as a COMSEC subject matter experts on Government inter-agency working groups, committees, and task forces.
- Maintain 100% accountability of all accountable COMSEC items.
- Provide support and oversight over multiple COMSEC Local Elements across multiple sites.
- Develop and update Emergency Action Plans (EAP) based on site, equipment and mission partners.
- Conduct semi-annual COMSEC training and EAP training per site for all Brigades custodians.
- Perform all necessary backups, system upgrades, reconciliations, and inventories of COMSEC material.
- Support the semi-annual COMSEC training of all Local Elements.
- Support the semi-annual EAP training of all Local Elements.
- Maintain all Local Element files per CLSA Policy.
- Use and maintain common fill devices (SKL, SDS).
- Prepare and ship COMSEC material as instructed by mission partner policies as needed.
- Coordinate with internal and external customers to support information security programs.
- Developing and interpreting policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery and execution of COMSEC programs.
- Experience in making recommendations for resolving COMSEC problems and requirements for multiple mission partners that utilize Type-1 encryptors to secure their networks.
- Providing technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to high level management officials and technical staff on critical COMSEC security issues.
- Experience in developing SOPs for all types of COMSEC actions. (E.g. Annual Rekey, Encryptor Upgrades, vIPer Use)
- Additional duties, as required
Requirements - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum 4 years of COMSEC Experience as a Primary or alternate COMSEC Custodian.
- Experience with various Type 1 Cryptographic devices, keys and loaders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability and willingness to occasionally travel in support of BDE requirements(up to 25%).
