What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineer Technician position at TAD PGS, Inc?
We have an Excellent Contract position for an Engineer Technician to join a leading Company in Tewksbury, MA.
**U.S. Citizenship is required.**
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing support to engineers on technical projects and/or products.
- Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data.
- May create, build, assemble, modify and/or repair prototypes.
- Prepares engineering documentation, reports, drawings (sketches/flow charts/diagrams/schematics, etc.).
- Performs mathematical calculations per engineering specifications.
- Undertakes analyses of data where guidelines are provided.
- Recommends alternative solutions to problems and obstacles.
- May set-up and conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering analysis.
- This is an intermediate level position where incumbents have a good knowledge of the job, and company policies and principles.
- Incumbents have some understanding of the technical aspects of the job.
- Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
- Exercises independent judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine the appropriate approach.
- Contributes to the implementation of organization's goals and objectives.
- Decisions and achievements may have direct effect on project schedule.
- Interacts daily with supervisors and/or functional peer groups. Occasionally interacts with outside customers.
- Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information.
- Under general supervision, performs standard scientific and engineering studies for less complex work.
- With additional experience within one specialty, the individual is expected to assist in conducting scientific tasks such as permit applications or calibration of mathematical models for specific phases of a project of a more complex nature.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years or related experience. Associate's degree in related discipline and 1 year of related experience.
- Familiarity working within a Linux based OS is preferred, but not required.
